Baked French Fries

This recipe can be made with regular or sweet potatoes depending on your mood

  • Potatoes (assume each person can eat about 1 potatoes worth of french fries)
  • Paprika (only for the plain potatoes - not sweet potatoes)
  • Salt
  • Olive oil

Pre- heat oven to 425 degrees.
Cut the potatoes into french fry strips. I LOVE my chopper and use that for almost all my cutting.
Put the strips into a zip lock bag. Add some oil, salt and paprika (if using). Shake the bag until the potatoes are all coated. If it helps - sing a song while you are shaking... "shake, shake, shake. shake, shake, shake. shake your baggie. shake your baggie."
One the potatoes are coated put them in one layer on a baking sheet.
Bake the potatoes for 10-15 minutes. Check to see if they are done (that's the beauty of cooking - you get to taste along the way). If they need some more time, put them in for another 10 minutes.
Serve with your favorite french fry condiment.
