Grilled Cheese

  • slices of your favorite bread (I like whole wheat)
  • slices of your favorite cheese (I like American Cheese)
  • butter (or non-stick cooking spray)
Heat a pan or griddle on the stove.
Melt some butter in the pan or use non-stick cooking spray.
Butter one side of each piece of bread you are using
Put one (or two) pieces of cheese on the UN-buttered side of half of the pieces of bread
Put the UN-buttered of the other half of the pieces of bread on the cheese
(You should have an uncooked grilled cheese sandwich at this point)

Put no more than 2 sandwiches in the pan at a time
Wait 3-5 minutes or until the bread has begun to brown
Flip the sandwich and brown the other side
I like to push down on the sandwich to make sure the cheese is melty
